Sassy, Boujie, Rachet… Nah but my friends would describe me as “a ratchet, old lady from the south who likes hardcore rap, canning and making jams, twerking, curses like a sailor, drinks lots of lemonade and tea, absolutely loves mason jars and a rocking chair could possibly be located on her porch. She also happens to be an army veteran, bomb ass mental health therapist and case manager and rocks out as an amazing mom, though patience in that department has become a learned skill (still practicing it). I mean it is definitely a skill I haven’t mastered yet, but you know… whatever. You must know me to know why you’re here right? And to be really honest I can’t twerk to save my life. Nothing moves back there for real. But the description is pretty accurate though, except I’m actually 35 and from Michigan. So, let’s add a little more.
I am also a podcaster, entrepreneur, sister, daughter, friend, soulmate but most importantly a woman who is about everything that is empowering of women! And that is why you are here. We make the world go-round. Women are a creative force to be reckoned with, the most powerful, strong, and intuitive beings on this planet. And unfortunately, because of life’s experiences and some choices made, some of us have a hard time seeing who we are, being who we are meant to be, and grabbing a hold of the power we possess.
This blog is here to help you see that you are not on this journey alone, to know that you have support and many women from different walks of life share your experiences, your pain, your joy, your failures, and your accomplishments. We also root for each other’s success. I will be sharing my experiences with you as well as the experiences of others. All of our testimony’s are important and the key thing is to let others hear those testimony’s as they are learning experiences and teaching moments. Don’t forget I’m also a therapist at heart so you’ll get more than your fair share of healing gems!
